Designed for two handed rods, the Salmon reel features a unique braking system which is two braking systems in one. First you preset the maximum braking strength with a small knob at the center of the back plate, thus making sure you cannot break the tippet.Second, you have the whole back plate of the reel as a secondary adjustment “knob”. The back plate itself turns making it possible to loosen the drag at a flick of the wrist, or tighten again, without exceeding your preset maximum braking force. Left hand retrieve and can be converted to right hand retrieve.
